I’m still finishing up the last bit of spring dramas, but the summer season has already started. There’s not a lot really jumping out at the moment, so I don’t think it will be quite as good as last season, but there’s still a few I’m waiting to air so I’m keeping my hopes up.
There is a startling amount of dramas streaming this season, about six or seven, I think, which is a lot more than usual and even more being subbed, so I’m happy about that, even if I haven’t gotten around to watching everything yet. Now that I have some downtime and the drama season is in full swing, I guess it’s about time to check in on what’s airing.
It’s been almost ten years since the hit manga Death Note was adapted into a two-part movie (and that weird spin-off movie that we don’t talk about), so naturally, NTV decided it was about time to adapt it again. Because obviously the anime, musicals, and merchandise wasn’t enough.
